Don't miss

From 100 to 1,000 I have the Midas touch! Everything I touch turns to…

Garbage. I guess I have the reverse Midas touch. Everything I touch in the football universe turns to garbage. It really does. I had my great (in my opinion) pick ups of Mark Ingram at $4, and Dalton at $11. Who could argue with those moves? Then they had their seasons turn to muck. Add into that, my favorite defensive pickup on the whole dang market Paul Worrilow who is suffering through his worst season, just missed a start after missing most of two other games. Man. This 1 year time frame has really hurt me. However, all last post was me whining. I need to put my chin up, and find a way to soldier through it.

I sold Travis Kelce for $10. Doubling my money on him. I invested that in a few shares of Ryan Anderson, right before he paid me out a bonus. Anderson is more of a long term stud, but still I couldn’t pass him up for $3.33 a share! My basketball investments and NFL monthlies were garbage, so I didn’t have the money to make the move I wanted, but fortune shined upon me, as someone robbed me by buying my Brantley share for $5. I had already made out pretty good on him, so I was ok selling him for less than he was worth at $5. That move combined with a few bonus payouts allowed me to make my next move- Two shares of Kirk Cousins at 2.95 a share.

This one hurt to be honest. I *hate* Kirk Cousins. I think he is in the bottom 10 QB’s in the league. However, I cannot argue with results. He already has two wins this month, with a date against a terrible Philly defense and a dead Dallas team on the horizon. I’m moderately nervous that he reverts back into what I think he is, but on the other hand he has been a 69.2% passer this year which pushes the rest of his numbers quite drastically.

If the Redskins split, and Kirk hits his seasonal averages, he should pay me back a $1 seasonal bonus. If they win both and Kirk plays mistake free with two above average games, he should pay me back a $1.50-$2.50 bonus. That doesn’t consider the monthly bonus, which is very dependent on turnovers and wins. I could see a scenario where Cousins easily pays me back the $2.99 I invested in him in two weeks, which is exactly the break we need.

I consider my account to still be worth around $250-300. I am going to need to make some major moves somehow if I am going to get back to the $500 I moved my goal to! I will be cheering for big games from all my NFL players that are left. I want enough money to buy an elite basketball player. I guess that it’s up to Aqib Talib, Allen Robinson, Jarvis Landry Kirk Cousins, and Chris Ivory! Go team! For the plan to go off without a hitch, I will need around $30. I am struggling to see a way that happens, but hope isn’t gone yet.

Great insights on what not to do. I was a big Kirk Cousins guy 3 years ago but now that I had given up on him he might finally be coming around.
