Hall of Fame Buy-backs

The Jockbrokers Hall of Fame has nothing to do with those political Hall of Fames of MLB, NFL and so on. We feel that it is a travesty and complete mockery of baseball that arguably the best player in history, Pete Rose, is not in the MLB Hall of Fame.

The Jockbrokers Hall of Fame is purely statistical. We do not take into account for rule changes, steroid use, equipment upgrades, schedule changes, or any of the other reasons that might produce an asterisk next to a player's name or keep them out altogether.

Owners of shares of athletes that qualify for the Jockbrokers Hall of Fame are eligible for our patented Hall of Fame buy-backs. To qualify the athlete must have a career performance that meets or exceeds the level in which he is paid.

As sports change, there could be changes from year to year in the Hall of Fame qualification levels but that would only apply to any New Releases and beyond. This means that once an athlete is released into the Jockbrokers market the qualifications for that athlete are locked forever. On the player profile page you will see a link that indicates which Hall of Fame table that particular athlete is associated with based on their release date.

Here is an example of the proposed Hall of Fame table for NFL QBs.

Based on the table above you can see that Peyton Manning would currently be qualified for level 2, which GUARANTEES that Jockbrokers will purchase your cards that have never left the Jockbrokers market at $300 each. This conclusion is based on using the "pick 2" option under Level 2 qualification and applying Peyton Manning's 143 Regular Season Wins and his 407 TD passes. If considering to buy Peyton Manning in the market, you would need to consider if you think that he can reach level 1 unless you can buy him at $300 or less, which is unlikely. For the sake of argument, lets say that he was selling for $380 in the market. You would have to consider the probability of Peyton Manning qualifying for Level 1 and the most likely way that he could do it.

My assumption would be that his easiest path to Level 1 would be simply to get his completion % to rise just 0.01% so that he would be at 65.0% while adding 3 more TD passes then he qualifies for Level 1's "pick 3. In this case he would qualify with 65% completion, 410 TDs, and 143 Regular Season wins.

When considering to buy or sell any athlete you should also consider the probability that they will earn the monthly or season-ending performance bonuses and work that into your estimation of value as well. Information on Jockbrokers Performance Bonuses can be found here.
